More than a donation
Yes, FLML needs your monetary support to do the amazing things we are doing, but we don’t want you to just give your money. We want you to be part of us. We have a board meeting every other month on the third Thursday of the month. We’d love for you to join us and share your ideas, talents, and time.
We are completely volunteer-run, so we need your membership fee to be the beginning. After becoming a friend, we invite you to volunteer in the efforts of FLML that you view as most useful. Are you a big fan of Book Sales? Great! Will you help out in the weeks leading up to each sale? Do you prefer programs targeted at students? Great! We’d love your help with the Summer Reading Program or the Book by Book Program.
No matter your age, gender, or interest, we have somewhere for you to serve and make a difference. Everyone is busy these days and FLML understands. We are all juggling a lot, but you still want to give back and make a positive impact in your community. Your FLML membership is a great way to do just that! Plus, we respect your time and place you in the areas you feel most compelled to support.
Membership Perks
You are given a 10% Discount at the Friends Corner Gift Shop. All you have to do is show your membership card at the time of purchase.
You are invited to the Membership Breakfast. This is a fun morning where we enjoy a catered breakfast, celebrate you and the other volunteers, look back at the year’s accomplishments, and plan for upcoming successes.
You are given a vote on upcoming projects and the annual budget.
How does my membership work?
First, you decide you are ready to join. We’d love to have you join at the base membership fee, but we would be honored to accept a donation on top of your membership fee. We are serious about putting all funds to good use!
Second, you fill out the membership form.
Third, at the end of the form it will ask you which areas you’d like to volunteer with. Please note that these aren’t permanent decisions, but a great place to begin your involvement.
Lastly, pay your yearly membership fee and any additional donation you wish to make today.
After you join, you will be mailed your library card and may begin participating as a Friend.
We send out newsletters each month and emails to targeted groups. This is how you can stay up to date on all our events.
